Scenario: User gets locked out of CAS or POS because of too many failed attempts
There are 2 ways you can get back into CAS and also how to get back into the POS
On CAS, you can use the "Forget Password" feature. You will need to have email addresses set up on your employees records so that once they enter the credentials and select Forgot Password and Enter the User, Domain, and Email Address it send them an email with a Temporary Password.
If the user does not have an email address in the system, the System Admin will log into CAS - Management - User - Modify Employee and change the password for the employee. Then have the employee log into CAS.
On the desktop POS, you can also use the "Forgot Password" feature. You will need to have email addresses set up on your employees records so that once they enter the Username and Email Id the system will email a Temporary Password.
On the POS, once the password is changed, log in using a different employee that has access to the POS to push the messages to the POS that the employee's password has been modified.
