This article has configuration code for the CR950 to drop the UPC-E number (first digit) and the check digit (last digit) on a UPC-E barcode. It also has codes for entering on scan and saving settings. You can try to scan them off the screen, but it may not work so you will have to print this out and scan from that.

With this a UPC-E barcode such as a can of Sprite will drop the '0' and the '7' in the barcode and only output the digits in the middle.

This will only work for UPC-E barcodes on the CR950 and any UPC-E barcodes scanned in the future will be treated this way.
