Wrong PDM on PAX Devices

I noticed this issue on some PAX Devices (E800) when one received the wrong PDM version.

There are 2 different PDM versions for PAX Smart Terminals ESeries (E500, E600, E700, E800) in the PAX Store, depending on the device.

E700 - 3.01.02

E800/E500/E600 - 2.01.06

The problem comes up if 3.01.02 is accidentally installed on an E800/E700/E500. If this happens sales will not work because it cannot communicate with the Q20L. Also because this version number is "higher" than 2.01.06, you are not able to downgrade it to the correct version. The only way to resolve this issue is to return the unit to the manufacturer or vendor for repair, which is a 4 week process usually.

Conversely, I'm not sure if something bad will happen when 2.01.06 is installed on an E700, but I do not recommend it.

Please check the PDM version on the device in the PAX Store before updating ANYTHING. Even if is brand-new check the version in the PAX store, when connected to Internet.
