Communicating with the Program

1. Run Program 
    select receiving, transfer, or adjustment

2. Send Data 
    use once you have completed the scanning and are ready to upload the data

3. Utilites
  • Transfer File - update the program for changes made
  • Browse Records - see what has been entered
  • Clear Records - clear info on device
  • Reader Test 
  • Settings - various device settings



Receiving:
The device will scan your inventory and prepare a file to import on CAS. 

Power on
From the Home Screen select Receiving> Enter

Primary Screen (applies to all entries for the transaction):
Enter store or warehouse that the inventory will be received into:
Type: 0 (Store)  1 (Warehouse)
Store/Warehouse ID: Store or Warehouse ID

Enter optional data such as PO # (Scan # from PO) or Freight
Press Enter



Data Screen:
Screen shows UPC/Quantity
Press Big Orange Button to start scanning
Red laser will be activated and UPC will display
Quantity: Enter # of items being received>Enter

Continue with inventory until all have been entered. Put device on the Cradle to upload the data and "Send Data"

Note: An Item can be scanned multiple times and the device will combine the quantities into one entry
Transfers:
The device will scan your inventory and prepare a file to import on CAS. 

Power on
From the Home Screen select Transfer> Enter

Primary Screen (applies to all entries for the transaction):
Enter store or warehouse type that the inventory will be transferred from:
From Type: 0 (Store)  1 (Warehouse)
From Store/Warehouse ID: Store or Warehouse ID>Enter

Enter store or warehouse that the inventory will be transferred into:

To Type: S (Store)  W (Warehouse)

To ID: Store or Warehouse ID> Enter

Data Screen:
Screen shows UPC/Quantity

Quantity: Enter # of items being transferred>Enter

Continue with inventory until all have been entered. Put device on the Cradle to upload the data and "Send Data"

From the Home Screen select Adjustment> Enter

Enter store or warehouse type that the inventory will be adjusted from:
From Type: 0 (Store)  1 (Warehouse)
From Store/Warehouse ID: Store or Warehouse ID>Enter

Data Screen:
Screen shows UPC/Quantity

Quantity: Enter # of items >Enter

To Upload the Data from the Device:  
Once you have the data collected in the device, steps to send the data:

On the device
3. Utilities>Transfer File>Send Data

On the Application:
The Optimus Application needs to be open,
Press F8     or
Go to:  Tools>Communication>Receive Data


 To Update Program:  
If changes are made to the application and need to be uploaded into the device:

On the device
3. Utilities>Transfer File>Get Program

On the Application:
The Optimus Application needs to be open,
Press F6     or
Go to:  Tools>Communication>Download Program
