This section explains how to set up multiple related items so that on the sales transaction screen the cashier will have the option of these items.

An Example is for a merchant receives beers by the case and wanting to sell it as a Case, a 6 pack, or a single bottle



Steps to set up:
Create an item for the single bottle of Corona (Item ID 8066095605)

Create 2 Package Items (CAS>Management>Inv Classification>Master Item - Item Type change to Package
  • package for 6 pack - Use the item ID for a 6 pack and the UPC as used for the single (Item ID 8066095605). Set selling Price for a 6 pack
  • package for Case - Use the item ID for a Case and the UPC as used for the single (Item ID 8066095605). Set selling Price for a Case

Create the packages (CAS>Management>Inv Classification>Packages
    Select Corona 6 pack from the drop down
    Enter the UPC from the single bottle with Quantity 6>Save


    Select Corona Case from the drop down
    Enter the UPC from the single bottle with Quantity 12>Save




Now when you ring up the single bottle UPC you will have the option of all three and if you scan the 6 pack or case ItemID it will just put the case in your sales cart
